In the middle of a beauty Florida afternoon two Gilchrist County Florida Sheriffs deputies were ambushed
and subsequently murdered, all because of their chosen profession. Several news reports cooperate that the Deputy and Sergeant were eating their lunch when they were shot through the window of the
establishment they were eating in. Various sources have confirmed through major news outlets that the shooter was found deceased when deputies arrived after the shooting. Sadly Sgt. Noel Ramirez, 29, and Deputy Taylor Lindsey, 25 were both pronounced dead at the scene.
An outpouring of support has been seen from communities in Florida, Texas, Louisiana, and several other states throughout the United States. Even President Donald Trump sent condolences and prayers for the Family and Department of the two lost heroes.
These two officers mark the 21st and 22nd Line of Duty Deaths (LODD) this year for United States Law Enforcement related to Gunfire. 22 Deaths too high.
To the Men and Women of Law Enforcement who may find this post, we see you. We see you at night driving the streets. We see you eating in the restaurant at dinner. We see you protecting our families, while leaving yours. A majority of America sees you, we appreciate you, we respect you, and we love you for all that you do for us. Please know that while small groups with loud voices may continue to try and vilify you, we see you for the Heroes you truly are.
Deputy Lindsey and Sgt. Ramirez, Your Lives Mattered. #IRefuseToSeeHateLiveWhileLoveDies
